Building Family Traditions

A word from Corbin Bernsen

Our Mission

To strengthen family and community - the foundation of any society - through exciting, thought provoking storytelling that inspires discussion, and the creation of new tools to restore and rebuild home, community and a better world.

About Home Theater Films

At a time when so much is being discussed on what to do to turn America around, Home Theater Films produces and distributes "smart family films" with the belief that any changes on a personal or national level must begin with the family. The strength of our nation is built on the bedrock of family and community.

Virtually every television set sold today is capable of creating a "Home Theater Experience." It is our mission to create content specifically for that - The Home Theater. Our films are meant to be viewed as a Family Experience for all ages and more often than not, generate exploration and discussion through their themes.

Further, it is also our goal that this communal family experience creates a solid value proposition during tough economic times. Our first run, original content of well-crafted, full length feature films experienced by a family of four in the comfort of their own home greatly reduces the cost of the "movie experience" while maintaining the excitement of it. Our films include both dramas and comedy but ALWAYS explore themes that are both relevant and deserving of further discussion once the lights are turned back on. Home Theater Films are not only meant to motivate family interaction, but also inspire new ways to approach life and strengthen family and community.

This absorbing fiction adaptation of Corbin Bernsen’s film Rust, which featured him in the starring role and director, is currently available for purchase and streaming online at Netflix and other online sites.

In the midst of a crisis of faith, a man finds hope where he least expects it—his hometown. James Moore is a former pastor who returns home to discover his childhood friend is implicated in the arson of a farmhouse and the murder of an entire family. Convinced of his friend's innocence, James sets out to find the truth. In the process he reclaims a relationship with his father, restores hope to a floundering congregation, and rediscovers his own lost faith. Rust is an uplifting tale about faith, family and the powerful ties that bind a community.

They’ll Need All the Faith They Have to Get Through This!

Writer/Director Corbin Bernsen (25 Hill, Rust) presents a fun-filled family comedy starring George Newbern (Father of the Bride movies), Megyn Price (Rules of Engagement), and Taylor Spreitler (Days of our Lives).

Martin Taylor has totally lost touch with his family. He has no clue who his teenage daughter's friends are, why his son only communicates with an electronic sign outside his bedroom door, or why his youngest child only watches faith TV. Convinced the family needs to reconnect, Martin surprises the wife and kids with a little experiment-he locks them in their own home with no power, no heat, no running water, and absolutely no contact with the world outside! The sudden holiday staycation isn't what the Taylors had in mind for the weekend, but they'll have to team up to prove they can survive Dad's wacky mission. With a heartfelt message and some persistence, one little member of the family helps put their priorities back in the pews, because they'll need all the faith they have to get through this!
