God's "Workout"

Don’t you just love it when God speaks so clearly to you? Don’t you love it when He gives you revelation? God gave me a revelation today. He did this by making a comparison. He spoke to me about how I go into my gym each day and help people with their fitness. I am their coach/trainer. I’m also their motivator, encourager and cheerleader. I take them through hard workouts that are very challenging. I design the workouts to challenge them and push them to their limits. It is hard, it is a struggle, and it does not feel good a lot of the time. So many times they feel they can’t make it through the work out. They feel like they can’t do it because they feel it’s just too hard. They feel the burn of the workout. Sometimes they might feel light headed and even a little nauseated. But I coach them through all of these feelings and help them to push through until the end of the workout. I do this to help them in bettering themselves and their life. In time they become stronger, their endurance builds, and the workouts become less uncomfortable. I design the workouts in this manner because i know it will make them stronger, healthier, and a better person all around. They will become transformed... their bodiesand their strength will be transformed in ways they would have never imagined. They accomplish things in the gym they never knew they were capable of accomplishing. And as their personal trainer and coach I am there to help them and guide them through, encouraging them and cheering them on every step of the way.

Today was a particularly stressful day. In fact, this past week…this past month… very stressful things have continued to happen and have just added up and become a very hard struggle and challenge for me. Today it all kind of came to a head and I became very defeated and frustrated. It had me questioning what in the world was going on. It had me questioning how I was going to make it through some of it. Then God showed me and spoke to me that His role in my circumstances is just like my role as a personal trainer/life coach. He has designed the course of my life. He has designed each and every day to involve and include things that He needs for me to experience, to encounter, and to learn. He’s taking me through a “workout”. It may be hard, the circumstances may seem overwhelming and intimidating, I may feel as if I won’t make it through. But He is using these times to make me stronger. I will be stronger because of it, and I will be a better person all around. He has designed these times to make me into the person He needs for me to be. What I needed to be reminded of is the fact that HE is in control of these times....not me. He designed these situations and circumstances just like I design workouts for my clients. He guides me and walks me through each and every “work out”. He’s there encouraging me, motivating me, and cheering me on to make it through to the end. I have to remind myself that HE is in the middle of all of it with me. I have to trust that with each circumstance and situation that seems so hard and overwhelming, it is for my good in the end. I have to trust HIM....that HE designed these types of trials and tests to make me better. HE designed them to transform me into the person I need to be. Just like He designs the good times and “mountain top seasons”, He is in control of these hard times as well. He reminded me today...”I am taking you through this “workout”....this hard time. I designed it for you. I am right by your side. I am here to show you each move to make and each step to take. I will see you through to the end of this. I will cheer you on and encourage you. And you WILL come out on the other side stronger and better!”

Thank you God for this revelation today! Let us be reminded every day of your ever presence and help in our lives!

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
