Life Changes

Most of us are capable of making life changes. But making these kinds of changes is hard. It requires a huge commitment and a lot of strength. Small changes on the other hand are easy to make and easy to stick with. Tiny habits can pile up quickly and result in a major difference over time.

Whether it’s diet, exercise, or lifestyle, making small changes daily can lead to a better and healthier you…now and down the road.

The following are some things you can implement daily that are not overwhelming and intimidating. These small changes can and will add up and have a great impact on your life. These are just to name a very few things that you can do.

  • limit social media. Cut out 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and focus on other things during those times.
  • Spend time alone first thing in the morning… Reading, journaling, praying. Starting your day this way helps you to be more structured, intentional, and productive each day.
  • Drink more water daily.
  • Be kind. Intentionally do something kind for someone else daily. This can be done in various ways by a phone call, a text, a card, cleaning someone’s house for them, cooking them a meal, buying someone a coffee, there are so many ways to be kind.
  • Make it a point to get more sleep.
  • Make a change in your eating. Replace some of the “bad” with better. Use better judgment with portion control.
  • Limit TV time.
  • Focus on the positive each day. In order to be more self confident and to replace self criticism and judgment, thoughts, and mindsets, you must replace those things with self assuring thoughts. When you have a “self sabotaging“ thought, write it down and next to it write a confidence boosting thought.
  • Spend less money. Cut corners where you can and save your money!
  • Declutter and clean. Do you something daily to organize your space, home, office, car, etc.
  • Make it a point to listen to others more than you talk. It’s a huge relationship booster. Ask questions, and listen rather than thinking about what you’re going to say next.
  • Give your exercise and workouts more effort… 110%! Instead of just going through the motions, do more reps before stopping, run more than you walk, focus your energy on your exercises and work out!
  • Concentrate on your appearance “in a non-vain way”! There’s nothing wrong with wanting to look good. It shows that you have self value and self-respect. Wear outfits you love, do your make up, fix your hair, wear jewelry you love, do something daily to make you feel good about yourself.
  • Motivate someone else daily with your words. Build someone up by encouraging them, complimenting them, etc.,

It’s great to set big goals for yourself. We should always set goals and strive to reach them! But making these small changes daily takes you down the path to those big goals you are trying to achieve! Give it a try! You will not be disappointed! Instead you will be amazed at the change and impact it has on your life!
