Exercise is Vital

Exercise is VITAL to our health and well being! Not only does it prevent health issues and problems, but it can also reverse health problems, and help the healing process in our bodies! This is how God designed it. My client, Mike Castillo, is living proof of how exercise promotes good health and healing. This is his story in his own words.


“I would like to share my story about a health scare I had not too long ago. It was mid – February of 2018. I was about to start a round of golf with my wife and two dear friends. We stood on the first tee and I hit my drive. The problem was I did not see it. This was something that had never happened to me before. I asked my wife where my ball went. She thought I was joking. It traveled straight down the middle. I told her I was serious that I could not see the ball after it left the club. Two days later I was sitting in the ophthalmologist chair having my eyes examined. My Doctor found that I needed a new prescription for my glasses. Other than that, all seemed to be in order.

Fast-forward to June, 2018. My 16 year old son and I decided to join a gym. We chose Kellye Personal Fitness. We had a few reservations at first; there seemed to be all women there and we did not want to be the only guys. Well, we went anyway. We found out that we made a great choice. My son and I went faithfully and are still active there now. This place, we soon found out is more than just a gym. They are truly a family. We found out there were guys that wanted to get in shape as much as the women. Everyone there has the same focus, making a lifestyle change and living a better, more healthy life style. Kellye and her trainer Audra are committed to getting you there. These ladies know what they are doing. They are serious about bringing out the best in you. You commit to making the changes, Kellye and Audra will help get you there.


My son and I started in the Beginner course and were instructed and coached by Kellye and Audra for the first 6 week class. In that time we both lost a combined 24 inches. It was nearly split down the middle between us. At that point we were hooked. We have committed and not looked back. Little did I know how important this step was going to be in the months to ahead.In Late October my peripheral vision had begun to really fail me. I returned to my ophthalmologist with my concerns. He ran a series of tests on my eyes. Not only had my vision declined more since my February visit, my field of vision was changed drastically in my right eye. I was immediately scheduled for an MRI. Less than 48 hours later I was diagnosed with a Pituitary Gland Adenoma. I was then set up to see a specialist at an excellent hospital in Atlanta.The doctor looked at the MRI and remarked “I have seen a lot of these; yours is not the biggest but is up there.” “It is sitting near some very high priced real estate.” He explained that it was very near my carotid arteries, and pushing on my optic nerve. This explained the loss of vision. During my exam he asked questions about my physical activity. I explained that I was working out now 4 nights a week. I was probably in the best health I have been since High School. He told me that was great, it would help me bounce back from this surgery even better.

When the Doctor tells you; “You are going to have brain surgery to remove the tumor, your stomach sinks. You get a very sick feeling. A million things rush through your mind. Your anxiety levels go through the roof. I cannot sayenough about my wife looking after me before, during and after. She was a rock when I was at my weakest emotionally...cheering me on, and lifting my spirits. My 16 year old son was at home watching over me as I healed. My oldest boy was able to get leave from the Army to be with me at the hospital. My sons were great support as well. My gym Family was great. They watched over my son as he continued to work out in my absence. They provided cards, flowers, and meals. The words of encouragement while I would watch the workouts were great. This was so appreciated.

I was given complete clearance and release from the doctor this week! I am 58 years old. My body healing has been excellently and quickly! cannot thank Kellye and Audra for getting me ready for a journey that I did not know was coming. I hope this stirs you some. If you are going to a gym and exercising, continue to push on. If you have not started a program or are thinking about doing so, get in there! You can come and see Kellye and Audra.
