I have moralistic leanings in a relativistic culture.

Grasping for validation,

I compare my efforts to others

and shame clouds my Kingdom vision.

Freedom is elusive,

but its spark lives in my soul.

I’m too busy doing to ignite it with faith.

I will never produce enough kindle.

Only faith will fan the flame eternally.

Remember.

It’s so easy to forget.

I am a son, not a slave.

Repent of the doing and rejoice that it is done!

I will immerse myself in His word and seal His truth in my heart.

I will recognize what is false and hold to what is true.

There is more to be done, but His Spirit in me bears fruit.

The work I am given will reap

love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

I have hope for what will surely come.

Through faith, I will grow.
