On the journey
We all go on
But not together

Whatever God or
Notion of the Divine
One holds as Holy

Each seeks the sacred
Absolute oneness
With the absolute

The best that we can be
And That which is beyond
The best that we can comprehend

What holds me back
Is not real, and yet
Far more real than reality

The it which strikes the itch
I cannot help but scratch
Although I know it will

Render me bitter and raw
Leave me begging for life and death
With each breath I draw

But better to be on the path
To meet and struggle with anguish
Than to be in safe harbour

Passively avoiding the journey
Staying with ignonimy
Denial of my destiny

O Master whom I always seek
In my hope and in despair
Please rest and bless my spirit;

That I may let go of the past
Ready to meet the future with
No unfinished business

Credence
I believe in God, whom we may worship in any way fitting, as long as it is a dogma based on reverence; tolerance and respect for all; a spirit which yearns for compassion and peace.

I believe in the dream Dr. King conceived.  And if, indeed, it is to come to pass, our nation, Canada, shall be where it happens.

I believe in art, in truth, and beauty.  All to which I humbly aspire.

I believe we are as saints when we are in fellowship.

I believe in the intrinsic ultimate goodness of all creation.  Even the things that really tempt and test us.

Because I believe these things make us better.

I believe that much of what we think is wrong, though most of what we know in our hearts is right.

I believe in the life that is and especially in the one to come.
