About the Book

Search and rescue pilot Kacey Fairing is home on leave in Mercy Falls, Montana, twelve years after she joined the military to escape the mistakes of her past. With a job waiting for her as the new lead pilot of Peak Rescue in Glacier National Park, Kacey hopes to reconnect with the now-teenage daughter she sees only between deployments. What she doesn't realize is that someone else is also back in town.

Ben King has been building his country music career since the day Kacey shut him out of her life. Now all of that's on hold when his injured father calls him home to help run Peak Rescue until he's fully recovered. It doesn't take long, though, to discover his father's ulterior motives as Kacey Fairing walks into the house and back into his heart.

With Mercy Falls in a state of emergency due to flash floods, Kacey and Ben are forced to work together to save lives. But when floodwaters turn personal, can they put aside the past to save their future?

A novel by Susan May Warren is a guaranteed great read, but "Wild Montana Skies" raises the bar for reality in fiction.  Susan has done her homework for her latest series.  From search and rescue to battling wild fires, the detail is rich and authentic.

Kacey Fairing has a complicated life.  A teenaged daughter, a military career on the verge of ending, and a former love interest back in her life...will her leave have her longing to find time away from her life?

Ben King has achieved his dream of becoming a country music star.  So why doesn't he feel satisfaction with his fame and fortune?  Betrayal stings no matter who you are, and coming home should help.  When the past comes back to life, can Ben embrace his new reality...or will he flee for the spotlight once again?

"Wild Montana Skies" will capture your heart from the opening pages and hold on tight until the final page turns.  Block out an afternoon for reading, because you will not be able to put this one down.  I'm giving "Wild Montana Skies" five out of five stars.

My thanks to Susan for my advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
