Unless God

I’m feeling like that right now. Someone I love is in a big pickle, and I can think of nothing to help. Oh, I’m willing, but the circumstances make it more or less impossible.


Unless God takes a hand.

This, right here, is where either you believe or you don’t.

God? Yes or no.

I choose yes.

And it’s terrifying.

Because I have no control.

And I have no idea what He might or might not do.

But here’s what I’m sure of:

He loves all those involved in this mess, even more than I do.

He has come through for them before, time after time.

He knows.

He cares.

He is able to do big and glorious things,

Or little and glorious things…

Whatever is needed.

And He cares.

And that will have to be enough.

So I will wait and watch and pray…

I believe, Lord, help Thou my unbelief…

E. E. Kennedy is the author of IRREGARDLESS OF MURDER, DEATH DANGLES A PARTICIPLE, MURDER IN THE PAST TENSE and INCOMPLETE SENTENCE, a cozy mystery series about a high school English teacher.
She grew up in far northern New York State where these mysteries are set. As an advertising copywriter, she wrote interview articles for art magazines and produced radio/TV commercials and print ads.
